What are Black Diamonds?
Black Diamonds are of Carbonado Variety. Carbonado, commonly known as the "black diamond", is the toughest form of natural diamond. It is found primarily in alluvial deposits in the Central Africa Republic and in Brazil. Its natural color is black or dark grey, and it is more porous than other diamonds.
Carbonados have been dated from 2.6 to 3.8 billion years old, which also might explain why they have only been found in Brazil and in the Central African Republic. During that span of the Earth’s history, what is now Brazil may have been joined to the western coast of Africa. (This “supercontinent” pairing actually preceded the better-known Gondwanaland). It is possible that a diamond meteorite struck the Earth at that time, accounting for Carbonado’s current distribution.
Incredibly beautiful gemstone black, moreover, very mysterious. As you know, white and colorless diamonds mined deep underground, while the black diamond or black diamond, and are almost on the ground in the uppermost layers.
How are they treated:
Black Diamonds when mined are Grey in color and need treatment to bring out its Black Color. They are treated with High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT). This treatment does not alter the nature of the Diamonds and neither does it diminish its value.
They are not irradiated and neither any artificial coloring matter or chemicals added to the same.
Will they last forever?
Diamonds are always forever and will also retain their shine and luster as if new.
What Guarantee do you offer?
We have a Lifetime Warranty in place. If at any time you feel that the Diamond is losing its shine or luster send it back and we will refund your 100% money back to you.
We have a 100% no questioned asked money back policy.
What if my Jeweler says that these are not Diamonds?
Jewelers are not competent enough to voice their judgment. Firstly these Diamonds are not very common hence they are not experienced in them. Further since we sell them so inexpensive, they will not believe that these are Real. Also, Jewelers are used to selling expensive at exorbitant mark ups. Further, many hand held testers cannot distinguish between a Diamond and a Moissanite.
How can you sell these Diamonds so Cheap?
We source out the Diamond Rough directly from the mines thus avoiding many middlemen and their fat commissions. Also we get them cut and polished directly by our facility in Jaipur, India. Further, we do not have a brick and mortar shop with its fancy overheads thus avoiding many overheads.
What about Certification?
We sell all our Diamonds with Certification of authenticity – not from GIA,IGI etc since they charge very expensive certification costs and will defeat the very purpose of selling the Diamonds inexpensive and affordable. As such we have a lifetime warranty in place for complete Peace of mind.
How do I maintain the Diamonds ?
An occasional wipe with a soft cloth and warm soapy water is generally sufficient. If used daily or on the beach, you can dip it in warm soapy water for a few minutes and then in cold running water. Wipe with a soft cloth and it will retain its shine and glitter forever.
There is no need of using any chemicals etc for cleaning them.
Can I return nevertheless:
Yes, you can. You can return them any time for a full refund. We do not charge any re-stocking fees.
